  • Broadcasting and Cable. An industry magazine devoted to cable and television. They publish regularly on the switch to digital. --Max
  • XChange Magazine. A magazine that discusses telecommunications. This is a page sorting their articles into different topics, such as policy, wireless, and broadband. --Max
  • Information Week. A weekly magazine devoted to business and wireless technology. --Max
  • Public Knowledge. A DC organization working on digital rights and the 700 MHz auction. --Max
  • Ofcom Watch. A blog that comments on the Office of Communications in the UK. --Max
  • Making Waves documentary on low-power radio. A model for a doc about TDV? --Matt
  • Spectrum Matters blog. Focuses broadly on spectrum-related topics. Recent posts on TV white space, spectrum auction. --Sam
  • Wealth of Networks Wiki A wiki focused on Yochai Benkler's book "Wealth of Networks: How Social Production Transforms Markets and Freedom." The book can be downloaded for free, and there are links related webpages ang blogs.
  • ABI Research. A blog that previews what is next in wireless technology. --Christopher Burton
  • Blogrunner. New York Time's blog monitoring feature that keeps you up to date with all kinds of blogs, including technology.-- Christopher Burton

  • FRS and GMRS FAQ. A comprehensive, albeit a little outdated, overview of FRS and GMRS technology and use. --Patrick

  • IEEE Standards Process. This page gives a brief outline of the process involved in approving various IEEE standards, including the wireless ones we are familiar with -- 802.11 - Jake

  • Search Security SearchSecurity.com - a website for IT Professionals that contains a lot of information about Wireless Policy. - Shawn
  • National Association of Broadcasters Official Website -contains info on the organization, what they do, how they do it, and what their plans are for the future of broadcasting --Joe
  • Eweek.com--website containing daily news updates about what is going on in the wireless arena - contains policy arguments, business news, and opinion columns about wireless and the internet--Joe
  • CRS Report for Congress. This PDF discusses wireless interference, especially at the 800 MHz level. It deals with Nextel's potential plans to reduce interference to public safety channels at 800 MHz by consolidating the public safety users to the lower part of the 800 MHz band and pushing commercial users to the upper 800 MHz band. --Chris K.
  • ACM Portal. This site offers a huge collection of "computing literature." It requires a membership, but the trial membership is free. The linked article seemed very interesting; it is titled, "How America's fragmented approach to public safety wastes money and spectrum." --Chris K
  • WISPA. This is the Wireless Internet Service Providers Association's page. The specific linked page has several articles relating to the Unlicensed use of TV whitespace. Articles bring up economic/legal issues, technical issues, as well as the results from previously conducted TV whitespace interference studies. --Chris K
  • Engadget. This site does a nice job aggregating a number of tech subjects including emerging wireless devices. --Chris J
  • CTIA Wireless Association. Site is a wireless policy advocacy group. They are primarily concerned with making sure consumers have access to a number of wireless techonlogies. --Chris J
  • Radio-Locator.com. An interesting resource for web information about radio stations (and radio vacancies) by geography. --Dave
  • AntennaWeb. Provides advise for TV antenna types and directions based on TV stations (analog and digital) in your area. --Dave
  • Sascha Meinrath's blog. Independent blog. "providing educational content and commentary on issues concerning Community Broadband Networking, spectrum policy, & open-source and open-architecture development." Dave knows of him through CUWiN and the IMC. --Dave
  • Wire-tapping VoIP. Opinions from people worried about companies like Vonage providing some way of law enforcement to tap their service. --Jason


TIPS: You can find blogs by reading blogs and looking at what other blogs they reference and talk about.
