What a marvel filled world. Magi, Chi-kin, Spirit casters, Psi-flock and Beastions, all working together to enable life on Pangea to survive against the raw power and ambition of the Abyss - that bottomless and multi-faceted dwelling place of Demon kind.

At last count there were 100 human-like races and almost as many non-human ones as well, each with their own hereditary power structures, their own Bloodlines, through which flowed priviledge, magesty, power and ability. And all this divergence comes together under Pax Atlantis: the meek, the small, as well as powerful weather-shapers, elementalists, warrior races of enormous prowess, Reptiods, Amphibos, Pachyrds, the flighted and the subterraneon; each culture seemingly happy to integrate into a cosmopolitan blend.

How the first races arrived on Pangea is a forgotten secret, but for as long as records have existed it has always been understood that the living can come to this giant land mass for respite and solace from all that assailed them on their home worlds. Amidst the breathing space permitted these races from the horrors of Demonic harrassment, the wild landscape of this primal world was hedged back. the giant indigenous life forms carralled but not tamed, until a city was formed: Atlantis.

Set against a wide deep harbour on the east coast of Pangea this magnificent city of millions crowds the terraced headlands, the coastal verges and then the undulating hills of the Merabari basin. It is a place where commerce thrives, where lives are lived in the shadow of escaped-from horrors on other worlds- worlds where loved ones were left to die in the maws of invading demons, or where brutal purges sought to cleanse a world of a particular race - or one of a number of other reasons why large numbers of people may want to migrate somewhere safe.

From time to time great slaughter was visited on the people of Atlantis, as some shocking enmity or another found its way to Atlantis' steps, however it was always repelled when the myriad of Atlantis' cultures worked together as one. It was not long before the effectiveness of such cooperation brought forth the Confederation, a permament body of citizens charged with protecting the shinning star that is Atlantis.
