This is the first season of Big Brother: Sam.

This was announced in December 2007, with applications due on January 30, 2008. Final casting interviews took place between 20th and 29th of February. The season started with 7 houseguests on the 19th of March 2008 and will end on the 23rd of April 2008.

Alex Coladonato is the owner of E-Squared Productions, a DJ company from Staten Island, New York. Alex has an older brother, Anthony, and was raised by his mother and grandmother. He has various bachelor's degree in business, marketing and advertising and recently is working on his first master's degree in childhood education at St. John's University.

Diane Henry is a 25 year old model from Cincinnati, Ohio. Diane has also appeared with her twin sister Lindsey Henry in Maxim magazine. She formeley worked as a cocktail waitress in Kentucky.

Eric Scott Stein is a talent management assistant from New York, New York. He grew up in Yorktown Heights, New York and attended Boston University. He is of the Jewish faith (though he is not very religious, he does observe the major Jewish holidays). Eric was the first to be evicted on Day 4.

Lisa Donohue is a 32 year old actress from Los Angeles, California. In 2004, she had a small part as Lauren in the film Jekyll. In the same year, she had a repeat guest role on the TV series Entourage. Still in the same year, she had another guest role in Dr. Vegas. Prior to being an actress, she was a bartender.

Neil Garcia is a realtor who lives in Los Angeles, California, but is originally from Texas. He has studied criminology, criminal justice, political science and business management in college but did not earn a degree. He is a real estate agent and is openly gay.

Sharon Obermueller is a realtor from Olathe, Kansas. She attended Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas and received an associate's degree. She is currently working as a realtor and restaurant hostess.

Will Kirby is an osteopathic physician. Apart from his medical practice, he also appears on television. Kirby hosted NBC's Love Shack, and served as a medical correspondent for Extra! magazine. In 2005 Kirby was on Battle of the Network Reality Stars, again with his friend, Mike Malin. Will appeared as himself on a one time episode of the Young and the Restless in late October 2006. He also appears on the E! Channel television series Dr. 90210.
