A page maybe protected due to the following reasons:

• Continued vandalism
• As per user request, usually due to the above reason.
• A page used only for Spam, Template:Blank may be added to the page to indicate that it has been intentionally blanked and protected.

Levels of Protection

For most pages protection is not usually required, as it limits the ability for an anonymous user to edit a page. There are 3 levels of protection:

1. Not protected (default setting): anyone may edit this page.
2. Protected from anonymous users: anonymous IP addresses are blocked from editing this page, only users with a Bluwiki Account may edit. Most pages would only need this level of protection.
3. SysOps Only: Some Bluwiki policy pages and pages that are incessantly spammed or vandalized may only be edited by SysOps.

Getting a Page Protected or Un-Protected

For the moment, contact a SysOp ,this can only be done on exceptional circumstances and will be considered on a case by case basis and would have to pass by User:Sam Odio as well.
