BluWiki talk:Skin
From BluWiki
pdf extension.
Anyone know how to get http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Pdf_Export extension working with bluwiki skin?
- I've never implemented that code - but from briefly looking at it, it looks like it should be compatible with the bluwiki skin. What problems are you having? --Sam Odio 00:24, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
- It doesn't show up in the toolbox section like it does in most of the other skins I have downloaded. You just put the include in your LocalSettings.php and "Print as PDF" shows up in toolbox section. I really love the look of bluwiki, but would like to be able to convert the pages to pdf for offline viewing. --Ford Crews 08:01, 20 March 2007 (CDT)
- I've fixed the toolbox in the skin - try version 0.1.8 --Sam Odio 10:39, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
- Wow, thanks.--Ford Crews 09:42, 20 March 2007 (CDT)

Hello Sam,
I've been playing around with your bluwiki skin on my own wiki and am currently tearing my hair out trying to get horizontal lines to show up (----) Have you any idea where in the css files you can change the styles for it? I have a feeling the horizontal lines are showing up but they are white. I also tryed putting one in in your sandbox page on the bluwiki site and they didnt show up there either! I'd appreciate any help you can give me on the matter. If you are interested you can take a look at the wiki in progress here http://www.dead-pixel.co.uk/wiki
kind regards,
Anthony Brooks
- Anthony, it looks like you're right. I took a quick look around the CSS files, and did see anything that would indicate why the HRs are white. I'll play around with the code a little bit and let you know what I find out. --Sam Odio 15:20, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
Hello,
Is there a reason why you have $bluwiki_skin_url variable? None of the other skin's ive ever worked with need this. It's always been fine just using the mediawiki functions to get the style path. Thanks

Hi
I have been using the Bluwiki Skin on the following wiki I setup : Manipedia . I am currently updating the whole site while moving to a new host, and also wanted to update the bluwiki skin. I like how most of the screen real estate is devoted to the content, contrary to most other skins out there.
I have one issue though, that is with the new version, in the edit screen, the editing toolbar doesnt appear. What could be the problem, as I said in the new version of the site, I use the lateste Mediawiki version 1.10 , and the latest bluwiki skin available. --Petzlux 11:28, 19 July 2007 (EDT)
Nevermind, I found the answer, its something you have in common with fratman skin, who has the same problem. I solved it by adding line 72 from monobook.php to line 82 (before the call to wikibits). The line looks like this:
<? p h p print Skin::makeGlobalVariablesScript( $this->data ); ?>
Accesskeys
I just got your skin installed and I wondered what happened to the accesskeys. I cannot use my wiki without them, and I'm not sure how to get them back in. I'm going back to the monobook skin and hacking it with your skin as a bit of a guide. Sy ali 16:53, 12 May 2008 (EDT)
