[edit] How do custom domains add value?
I'm having trouble with understanding the added value of a personal domain. http://log120etsmtl.bluwiki.com/go/Main_Page is not editable. Furthermore, any articles adressed under http://log120etsmtl.bluwiki.com/go/ endup being the same as the ones addressed under the main bluwiki. This seems to be of little value.
I would like to set up a wiki for a software design course, and the concepts are limited to the context of my course. For example, I don't want to discuss every aspect of "Software analysis" on my Software analysis page, because it would be overkill for my students. I've been using article names like Log120etsmtl:Software_analysis to solve this problem. However, this makes editing new documents tedious. I've already mistakenly forgotten the Log120etsmtl: prefix, and created a couple of pages in the main space. Is there a simple way to make this easier? Thanks for putting up bluwiki! - I've fixed the .com subdomain routing Both http://log120etsmtl.bluwiki.com/ and http://log120etsmtl.bluwiki.org/ should silently redirect to http://bluwiki.com/go/log120etsmtl - before only the .org was working correctly.
- I'm working on making every page in a subdomain automatically redirect into the namespace of the subdomain - but that's not done yet. For example, eventually http://sam.bluwiki.com/websites will redirect to http://bluwiki.com/Sam:websites --Sam Odio
- Yeah, i wondered about this www.bluwiki.com/go/ stuff too.. every page i made is directly put behind the ..go/, doesnt that mean, that noone can use this titles, written by me, for a new page anymore?.. thats stupid isnt it? i didnt really get the point with the subdomain-thing. when i try [my page].bluwiki.org it works! but how to add more pages under my 'main-page'? Should i do it like www.bluwiki.com/go/my_main_page:a_page_that_belogs_to_my_main_page ? plz answer on Usr-disc. (im from germany!)- [[User:Kptn k|Kptn k]] 16:26, 20 September 2007 (EDT)
