Burger King Coupons

From BluWiki

Company Overview

The fast food behemoth that is Burger King was started out as a restaurant called "Insta-Burger King" in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1953. The company has since expanded not only nationally within the United States, but internationally as well. Burger King boasts more than 12,000 locations in 73 countries, although its main business is in the American market, where more than 60 percent of its restaurants are located.

The company is known for its ads which feature a very tall, very plastic, and sometimes very creepy, Burger "King." The king doesn't speak and doesn't generally interact with other participants in the ad, unless he's offering them a Burger King product to satiate their cravings.

And people have been know to have major cravings for several of the company's classic menu items, the most notable of which is the BK Whopper. The product serves as the chief competition to McDonalds' line of Quarter Pounders and Big Macs and -- until recently, it was distinguished from McDonalds products as being uniquely customizable in thousands of ways.

The company has corporate profits of $2.5 billion and its renewed "King" ad campaign, combined with a new focus on the male audience in its advertising, has helped it achieve its most notable and most sustained success since a "Golden Age" in the 1970s.

With this success and popularity comes a successful marketing campaign flush with discounts both online and offline; customers can almost always find a great way to save on a Burger King craving-satisfying meal.

Printable Coupons

Burger King, like many fast food restaurants, doesn't have the kind of customer loyalty program in place that its casual dining cousins do. This means there's no automated way to get coupons and savings emailed directly to you, or even a way to guarantee regular postal mailings of deals.

However, Burger King knows that customers appreciate a good value and has made an effort to load its website with printable coupons that can be redeemed in stores. These printable coupons aren't included on the website every day, or even every week, so it's important to check back frequently for new deals. Most of Burger King's printable online offers are for a free sandwich or a free dessert item and, if the company is promoting a new menu item, chances are pretty good that they'll have a coupon offering a free one of those ,too.

For those with children, Burger King has plenty of printable offers on its website throughout the year for free Kids Meals or solid discounts on the company's line of licensed merchandise and toys. If you've got a child who loves a certain character, or if you're an adult that loves collecting these memorabilia items, it's a good idea to watch the company's website for these deals.

Coupon Mailings

In addition to its own printable coupons that it hosts on its website from time to time, Burger King engages in an aggressive campaign of mailing out coupons in Sunday newspapers and other mailers. Subscribers to the local newspaper can find these coupons just about every single week without fail, and they'll get special deals like free sandwiches (with the purchase of a drink and fries, of course), buy one get one free items (especially desserts), and even a few dollars off an order -- so long as you buy the company's large size.

Those who are without a newspaper subscription need not despair, as Burger King is relatively diligent about sending out coupons with free, independent mailers like Red Plum. You'll recognize Red Plum as the company that frequently drops off bundles of supermarket sales fliers at your door on a weekly basis; those free drop-offs usually include a bundle of coupons to local restaurants, pharmacies, and savings for national products as well. be sure to flip diligently through the included coupon booklet and you'll almost certainly find at least one or two coupons for your local Burger King location.

Still other customers may simply come home one day to find a packet of Burger King coupons and deals in their mailbox even without a newspaper subscription or Red Plum flier. On occasion, the company sends out mass mailings to an entire city or region with exclusive savings on certain menu items. These mailings typically offer deals similar to those included with newspaper coupon bundles, but they're free and do not require a subscription.

Free Items and Special Events

Even without coupons, Burger King has been known to deliver some of its most popular items for free -- without any strings or fine print attached. Recent events have included free coffee once a week (every Friday) before 10am in order to promote the company's new line of Seattle's Best coffee beverages. The company has also been known to host "Free Whopper Jr." days in the past, giving out a free mini-sandwich to all of its customers without requiring any additional purchase.

These announcements are typically all over TV advertising in the days leading up to the event, so it might be a good idea to stop skipping through commercials while watching your favorite programs on our TiVo. Free food is only good if you know when to line up and get it!

Burger King is, overall, very thorough with its coupon mailings and discounts. And in a digital age, the best way to find great deals on your favorite burgers and menu items is probably to wait for the Sunday paper or a local coupon mailing rather than scouring the internet. Burger King's printed coupons are more frequent and typically more generous than its online offerings.
