Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede was first opened in Pigeon Forge, TN in 1988. The dinner and show includes viewing of an opening act with country and bluegrass music. After enjoying the opening act, guests then relocate into the dining room where the actual dinner and show begin.
Then the audience is seated on North and South sides for a bit of Civil War style competition. A wild-west style show is performed with various animals as horses, pigs, and chickens. Several cast members interact in horse riding competitions, pig races, and such, for a complete wild-west dining experience.

The arena boasts light snow falling with Christmas lights, evergreens, poinsettias, and holiday music to bring about the holiday cheer. Entertainment during this time is a live nativity scene with a re-enactment of the three kings riding there camels on the way to Bethlehem. Angels ascend in a magical ceremony of this wonderful time of the year.
Performers provide a magical Christmas themed show to include 32 horses and a variety of Christmas songs. Then the long awaited St. Nick arrives with his sleigh of goodies.
