Thinking about applying to Longwood University?

Or at least, be wary. We suggest considering other schools until the Longwood administration get themselves sorted out.

While you might love it there - many don't. According to the Princeton Review, the quality of life at Longwood University is ranked 69 on a scale of 60-99 [1], 1 in 4 freshman don't return for a second year, and only 3 out of 5 stick it through to graduate within 6 years [2]. Your college years are a once in a lifetime experience and you should think twice before spending them at Longwood University. We wish someone had given us this advice when we were in high school.

Why are we dissatisfied with the Longwood Administration?

• University of Virginia - Very reputable school, great programs
• James Madison University - better reputation & higher ranking.
• Virginia Tech - better business school. Don't even get started on the engineering school at VT.
• George Mason - you're right next to Washington DC!
• Radford University - this is where the parties are!
• Old Dominion University - new school, pretty cool.
• Hampden-Sydney - yah, its in Farmville, but anything's better than Longwood
• The College of William & Mary - A good liberal arts school
