Template talk:Contribs wanted

From BluWiki

Can somebody make one of these that is only for a particular section? (like "Please edit this section but leave the rest of the page alone!) --NERD42  EMAIL  TALK  H2G2  PEDIA  UNCYC 19:06, 7 February 2006 (EST)

I just added <includeonly> tags around the categorization link. Unless the creator of this template wanted it to show up in the "Contributions Wanted" category. -Rae ArdGaoth 22:46, 20 March 2007 (EDT)

Sounds good - next time you should just make the change. This isn't wikipedia :) Don't worry about offending anyone by making improvements! --Sam Odio 23:31, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
In other words, "Be BOLD". ;) -Rae ArdGaoth 00:04, 21 March 2007 (EDT)
Exactly... although I hesitated to use that phrase since I think its lost some of its meaning :) --Sam Odio 00:53, 21 March 2007 (EDT)
"Although it is generally fine to be bold in updating articles, being bold in updating or creating categories and templates, especially templates, can often be very bad. This is because category changes - and even more so template changes - can affect a large number of pages. ... It is usually worth proposing any changes to categories and/or templates on talk or other relevant WikiProject pages prior to making any change." I just noticed this on that "Be BOLD" page. I wasn't intentionally following this rule, I just stumbled on it after the fact. Whatever! -Rae ArdGaoth 12:14, 21 March 2007 (EDT)
