Template talk:Navbox

From BluWiki

Neither I nor the people on my project have the coding prowess to duplicate (or indeed jank in its entirety) Wikipedia's Navbox template, yet we have use for said template... would it be possible for the admins to bring it over for use on Bluwiki? Much love. And sommore cause you guys don't get enough. <3 <3 <3 AlishaShatogi 20:33, 26 March 2008 (EDT)

Unfortunately, that navbox uses ParserFunctions which requires an upgrade of the MediaWiki engine. It's on Sam's list of things to (eventually) do. ? Nathan (talk) 20:42, 26 March 2008 (EDT)
Ah, thanks for the info! <3 AlishaShatogi 16:29, 27 March 2008 (EDT)
Parser functions if and ifeq implemented, allowing Navbox to be implemented. A lot of the CSS classes aren't implemented, so the appearance is far from perfect. With minor issues (e.g. multiple images may not be handled perfectly), the navbox should work the same as the Wikipedia navbox. Here's the Disneyland navbox from Wikipedia:

Ahh! I come back to my project after a hiatus and good news leaps from the screen! Thanks for the effort, and for letting me know! <3 Wonderful Bluwiki people AlishaShatogi 07:38, 29 May 2008 (EDT)
This doesn't seem to be working anymore... Navbox works fine in Monobook but as soon as I change to the bluwiki skin it breaks. :( 15:09, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
