The Transatlantic History Consortium is a project of the International Center for Jefferson Studies to foster historical scholarship by creating a collaborative community of scholars interested in the people, events, and ideas that form the core of the Jeffersonian tradition. With its partners at the University of Virginia, Oxford University, the University of Edinburgh, the University of New Hampshire, and associated institutions, the Transatlantic History Consortium seeks to employ the latest in communication technology to connect faculty and students wherever they may be in order to enhance our understanding of the early modern world and the ways it relates to our own.
