You can keep whatever templates you want! Microchip08 11:36, 7 January 2008 (EST)

Thanks. No need to say so in three places though, I watchlist all three pages ;-)  Nathan (talk) 11:40, 7 January 2008 (EST)
Sorry... I'll merge them for you if you like. <Microchip08 (talkcontribs) 12:58, 7 January 2008.</small>

Mini Holiday

Hey Nathan, I'd just wanted to inform you I'm away on holiday for the next 10 days, thus cut-off from the net. Anyway nothing much goes on here usually so it should be fine with one less sysop around. Thanks --KaiAdin 20:38, 10 January 2008 (EST)

Ok, have lots of fun. My holiday isn't until June :-)  Nathan (talk) 20:46, 10 January 2008 (EST)
Hi, I'm back :) --KaiAdin 05:33, 21 January 2008 (EST)
Welcome back!  Nathan (talk) 12:46, 21 January 2008 (EST)

Ah yes the good ol Time Cube Theory of everything, I don't really know what to make of it (the theory), but considering the image uploaded and its formatting in relation to the comments, this page may actually be spam. --KaiAdin 03:13, 24 January 2008 (EST)

Or, User:Atomicthumbs has an odd sense of humor --KaiAdin 03:21, 24 January 2008 (EST)

Shock Sites

Hi! It seems like ages ago (Sept 2007) that the spam filter went up - unfortunately, it took down the 'shock sites' page (since that has links to shock sites). I was wondering if anyone has worked how to make the filter not-apply to every page? I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult? (unless it is felt that the 'shock sites' page isn't suitable on Bluwiki?. Shocker 03:06, 27 January 2008 (EST)

Sorry, but we would tell you if the filter was fixed :( Sam's working on other things at the moment.  Nathan (talk) 13:08, 27 January 2008 (EST)

Re: Lame! + Holiday + Vandalism Definition

Yep, I was back a long time ago, I just forgot about that message in my Talk page.

As for Advanced Marketing Chat... yea, if only we had checkuser, but they technically haven't done anything too wrong, maybe minor vandalism, at least whoever it is replied to the posts (even though it wasn't in a positive manner). Allowing 'General Discussion' seems to always be a ticket for general mayhem in chatrooms and such.

I think, for users reference we need to define Vandalism in Bluwiki and make it onto a page like BluWiki:Link Spam. For a wiki page building upon the definition of 'defacement of property or an object' would an appropriate definition be 'Any non-constructive edits, that go against the theme or topic of a page' -- Any suggestions? Because Wikipedia's definition may not be totally appropriate considering, we don't need a level of integrity an encyclopedia needs.

Thanks, once again --KaiAdin 14:43, 14 February 2008 (EST)

Thanks. I like your explanation. I'll try to expand on it a little in BluWiki:Policy. Feel free to tweak, of course.  Nathan (talk) 16:35, 14 February 2008 (EST)

Vandal vandalising my article

Hi Nathan. Could you help me to block this user IP - (talk • cont.logs) - as he has vandalise my article, Survivor: Singapore, twice and he is likely to vandalise anytime soon, but not sure when (probably this month). I hope that you can block him with the max. possible "blocking" sentence so that i will feel that my article will feel safe on Bluwiki. Thank you. Aranho 10:22, 3 March 2008 (EST)

I am absolutely not going to indefinitely block just because of two instances of vandalism. That is excessive. The nature of IP addresses is that they often change and we don't know if this IP is static or dynamic. Six months is the standard that we block for vandalism. Sorry, but if I made an exception for you, I'd have to make one for everyone else who asks. Six months is a long time in the life of an IP address and the IP will probably change by then anyway.  Nathan (talk) 11:57, 3 March 2008 (EST)
Never mind, i understand. i don't blame anyone, i just have to blame on my luck then. Thanks anyway. Aranho 05:52, 4 March 2008 (EST)

Protecting a page

Hi Nathan. I'm one of the more active people on the Packrat portion of the wiki. We've got a few vandals on the main page there and I was wondering if we could get protection for that page for those that don't have an account in the system (no anonymous edits, in other words). We had this guy come through: http://packrat.bluwiki.com/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&target= Plus, we've had a few others in the past. If it's not worthy of protection, I understand. Just trying to help out our growing community :) Timdorr 11:18, 2 April 2008 (EDT)

Alright, consider it done.  Nathan (talk) 12:46, 2 April 2008 (EDT)

Your signature

I just want to let you know that the recent server upgrade broke your signature -- the symbol preceding your name renders as a question mark in a black square in Firefox (indicates an error when trying to decode the character), and it is mildly distracting on talk pages. nneonneo talk 01:51, 4 May 2008 (EDT)

Not to offend but you aren't telling me anything new. I'm well aware of that (since I also use Firefox) and I don't plan to "fix it". Let it distract. If I "fix" it and Sam fixes Unicode, I would only have to change it back and I really don't see the point in changing my signature twice because of a minor "distraction".  Nathan (talk) 02:14, 4 May 2008 (EDT)

Oh I didn't know that Bluwiki had an IRC channel, someone seems to have already registered KaiAdin there so I think Ill use AdinKai... --KaiAdin 06:53, 7 May 2008 (EDT)

That nick hasn't been used in over two years. If you do a /stats p while on freenode, you can message a freenode staffer and ask for the nick (be sure to mention how old the nick is).
Although, I'm comparing the IP address of KaiAdin on freenode to yours (AdinKai) and it's the same ISP. Are you sure you didn't register it then forget all about it?  Nathan (talk) 15:00, 7 May 2008 (EDT)
Probably, I have dabbled in IRC before and remember registering for a Nick, but I never quite remembered what server I did that on. How do you know how old the Nick is? --KaiAdin 15:35, 7 May 2008 (EDT)
You type: /ns info KaiAdin  Nathan (talk) 15:37, 7 May 2008 (EDT)
Thanks Ill fix my Nick later on, but AdinKai works fine anyway. Though I fear I'll most probably be online when North America is asleep. That access list, does that mean I'll automaticaly be opped whenever I log in? (Answer at your leisure, since your paobably at work) --KaiAdin 16:00, 7 May 2008 (EDT)
Yes.  Nathan (talk) 16:04, 7 May 2008 (EDT)
