A Wiki is a website that generally allows, and even encourages, all of its visitors to contribute by editing the site.  Wikis are therefore designed to make it as easy as possible to add content online - often users only need to click the "edit" button and start typing.  

BluWiki uses this wiki technology, but to a different end than most wikis.  The site's purpose is to enable users to publish their own content online, not to contribute to a common body of knowledge.

There are several Wiki variants online.  The BluWiki website uses the most popular, [[MediaWiki]] variant.  Editing MediaWiki pages are easy, you can use both Wiki Markup and (in most cases) HTML.  See our [[Help:Contents|help section]] for more information.

==Who runs BluWiki?==

[[Sam Odio]] started BluWiki (that's me!).  Right now I do most of the site's  maintenance & development - although more and more users are helping out.  In particular, I'd like to thank [[User:Nathan|Nathan]], [[User:Bear|Bear]], [[User:Nerdvana|Duncan Dewar]], and [[User:Chotchki|Chotchki]].

The site is kept free mostly because of the support of my company.  The site has also received about $125 in contributions from a few [[BluWiki:Site_support#Past_Sponsors|sponsors]].
