  • What was the most fun this week?
    • I enjoyed the Thursday run at Marie Kerr Park -- four laps around the outer track at a relaxed pace with some friends -- and the Saturday morning run -- West from the starting point, down in the hills with Caitlin Elizabeth and Y.
  • What was the most challenging?
    • On Tuesday, Alan worked us hard. We did a 400-meter time trial (mine was 1:20) and then he had us do 4 x 800 meters with the second lap faster than the first. The first lap was supposed to be 15 seconds off the pace (1:35 for me), and then the second lap was supposed to be only 10 seconds off the pace (1:30). Well, I did it. But it wiped me out -- I wasn't able to do the other three 800 meter runs anywhere near as fast.
    • On Saturday, we ran up the last section of 70th West, where it gets very steep. Y. did it twice! But my legs were too worn out from the first time so I stayed on the aqueduct and watched Y. climb the hill.
