We should assign some people to regularly backup sections on their computer, just in case. It's kind of a pain in the butt to do, you have to edit every page, select all the text, copy it into Word, save the file, and do that for every page. But it'll be good to have some backups, that way if either server (Bluwiki or Enworld) disappears, we still have the data. Rae ArdGaoth 03:07, 12 March 2007 (EDT)
As a general note, we should strive to have everything in the wiki linked. That's the beauty of the internet: Want to know more about Chennet's domains? Click the link and you're instantly enlightened. Over in the Living ENWorld:Domains page I linked all the spells to the SRD. Is that legal? Is that considered leeching, or something? I hope not, it took me forever to format all that. At the very least, we should have every reference to a deity be an intrawiki link, and every reference to an organization and every... well everything. It's time consuming and boring, so it would be best if we had volunteer crawlers who read a few sections and linked everything. -Rae ArdGaoth
- I see no legal problems with the linking. Leeching is usually the practice to include image tags to show images that you don't host, which takes away bandwith from the actual host without the viewer being there. Since I've added the domain spells that were new to the psionic or divine sections, though, the number of out-links can be reduced. Eques Concordia 19:19, 13 March 2007 (EDT)
New Section: Adventures
I think it might be good to have an archive of adventures as well as geography and all that. Maybe they could go into the History section (pretty barren right now) under the heading "Recent History (Adventures)" or maybe they deserve their own page. This would be good for DMs to summarize their adventures and allow future DMs to find plot hooks and escaped villains to help make Enworld more "living". What do you think? -Rae ArdGaoth 14:49, 15 March 2007 (EDT)
